Our Mission

The Sahara Rose Project is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to eradicating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) through advocacy, fundraising, and legislative initiatives. Our mission is to empower young people to become global changemakers by transforming cultural awareness into tangible action. We raise funds to support girls’ education as a pathway to prevention, amplify survivor voices through storytelling and community dialogue, and advocate for policy reform that strengthens legal protections against FGM both in the United States and abroad.

“The Sahara Rose Project's advocacy is truly inspiring. Your work brought a smile to my face.”
Zai Jama, Miss World Somalia
